Hot Days, Cool Popsicles

Happy 4th of July! As America celebrates her freedom, apply this to your life and your dietary success and celebrate all of your freedom from being a slave to unhealthy food choices! You have come a long way! Keep up the great work.

Now I will share with you a cool yummy treat to help you celebrate both the 4th of July and your new eating habits.

It is HOT where I live. As we go into July, the temperature climbs. What is good is the abundance of good fresh fruits!

I love to take all kinds of fresh fruits and freeze them. I try to freeze just about every fruit that I can. I was thinking about freezing cantaloupes and saw where someone had pureed cantaloupes, poured the puree into popsicle molds and got tasty and beautiful popsicles!

So I started thinking way beyond cantaloupes. You can make any type of smoothie, check out my Healthy Smoothie Recipes pages for ideas.

My favorite smoothies to make into popsicles are green smoothies because they are so attractive, not to mention healthy, and pour them into popsicle molds! Then share the popsicles with all the kids (and their parents) that you know.

This is a great refreshment idea both for your kids and also for other kid parties, for both young and the young at heart alike!

Just imagine all those green popsicles being sucked on for cool and totally yummy nutrition! The kids (and their parents) will be asking you where you buy such cool treats!

Use your imagination (and your camera) and let me know what you do with this raw idea.
